Most Casualty characters carry a badge with their name on it. On Eddie's badge, it says 'Dr Edward McCallister'. However, in the credits, he is always referred to as 'Eddie McAllister'.
Ultimately, the question is - which source should we go by? The badge or the credits?
In my personal opinion, we should go with the badge as I feel this is a more popular opinion as not many people look at the credits compared to the badges. (Speaking from experience)
I would probably agree with that, though my rationale is that we should probably favour in-universe information over things such as online announcements or credits.
